Consider a time in which you were involved in a social dilemma. How did you respond to the problem?

Solution

I was once in a social dilemma. It involved a situation where i had to act independently and rationally, considering my self interest. It involved going against the best interest of the whole group.

I had to further an agenda which would benefit my career growth in future. The agenda had to be propogated within my organization and to few other companies in the industry.

My dilemma was that i had to start a spam e-mail for furthering this agenda. The spam e-mails would benefit me, but would be detrimental to other employees in my organization as it decreased the robustness of my company\'s IT system.

I responded to the problem by sending the spam e-mails. My action led to the depletion or fall in the strength of my company\'s IT system.
