Answer the following questions:
1)What is the Vaccines for Children Program?
2)Who is eligible for this program?
3)Who funds this program?
4)Where can a child receive their vaccines?
Solution
1. This program is designed to help protect all children against vaccine preventable diseases. Most of the children are not vaccinated because their parents either do not have health insurance or insurance does not cover vaccines.
2. All the children are free to receive vaccines before their 19th birthday if they have Medicaid eligible or do not have health insurance or an American Indian or Alaskan individual or they are underinsured.
3. The program is funded by Missouri department of health and senior services.
4. The best place for the child getting vaccinated depends on where you live and your child\'s eligibility for the vaccines for children program. If the child is underinsured you may receive vaccines for children vaccines at a deputized local public health department or a federally qualified health center or rural health clinic.
