What is the difference between parallel and intersecting lines?
Solution
Parallel lines run in the same direction. They are equally spaced, and they never touch each other. An excellent example is a railroad track. The distance apart must be the same, or they would not accommodate the train wheels at all times.
Intersecting lines are lines that touch. X, +, or a T all intersect. Think of a the place where tho roads cross each other to form a cross as in a plus sign. Those lines intersect and are called perpendicular lines. They form 4 right angles. Likewise lines that cross to form an X are intersecting lines. Two lines that form a T as in a street where two streets meet, but one ends, they intersect where they touch.
