Discuss how the following trends are changing the skill requirements for managerial jobs in the United States: (a) increasing use of computers, (b) increasing international competition, (c) increasing work–family conflicts.

a. the high utilisation of systems and machines are causing to less requirement of manpower. that means companies are mostly depending on systems and they are downsizing their employees. so, there are many chances to loose jobs.

b. the second component is competition, due to this globalization majority of the nations are getting and importing all latest technologies at lesser cost and people are learning the new technologies quickly. so, there are many people ready to complete work at even lesser costs. best example is how Indian students and Indian people are dominating US job market. few of the global organisations are now leading by Indians (Microsoft- SATYA NADELLA, google- SUNDER RAJAN).

c. people who are running for succesful professional life, they are neglecting personal life and they are not in a position to meet family obligations. if both wife and husbands are working in a family, they may not have sufficient time to share, discuss and spend time together. both works for their individual goals, which haves two points to a single arrow. both sides can targets something, and at the end of the day they becomes failures in both personal as well as professional lifes.
