See the given conditions to write an equation for the line in point-slope form and in slope-intercept from. through (-2, -7) and parallel to the line whose equation is y = -4x + 5 Write an equation toe the line in point-slope form. Simplify your answer. Use integers or fractions for any numbers in the equation.)

Solution

Slope of line y = -4x+5 is -4.

Slope of parallel lines are same. So, the slope of our required line would also be -4.

Now, slope is -4 and the line passes through (-2,-7)

Now, y-y1 = m (x-x1)

y - (-7) = -4(x-(-2))

y+7 = -4(x+2)

y+7 = -4x-8

y=-4x-8-7

y=-4x-15 (Answer)
