Give examples of incidents from a job where perceptions and cognition (thinking) may have had a strong influence on employee behavior. What was the situation, who was involved, and how did they act? Describe the thinking patterns you observed.
Solution
One such example from the job is at the time of the training during our initial process. At that time, all the trainees are informed that the trainer and the assoicated are highly learned and had huge innumerbale experience and are strict in nature. Because of this perception and cognition about the trainer, all the employees were regular on training and high discipline and decorum was noticed in their behaviour during the training including me. I also started getting punctual and serious during the talent. The person involved are the management, empoloyees, trainers and other mentors.
The thinking pattern which is observed in this case is that people always assume and think what they are already taught of, as later on we realise that the trainer was none but one of the senior official of our other small branch.
