Solve analytically 3x2 4x y 7 2x y 1Solution3x2 4x y 7 1 2x

Solve analytically. 3x^2 +4x -y= 7 2x -y = -1

Solution

3x^2 +4x -y= 7 ---(1)

2x -y = -1 ----(2)

y = 2x+1

Substitute value of in equation 1)

3x^2 + 4x -(2x+1) = 7

3x^2 + 2x -1 =7

3x^2 +2x -8 =0

solve the quadratic equation:

x = (-2 +/ sqrt(2^2 +8*4*3)/6

= (-2 + /- 10)6

= -2 , 4/3

y = 2x+1 = 2(-2) +1 = -3

y = 2x+1 = 2(4/3) +1 = 11/3

Solution : (-2 , -3) and (4/3 , 11/3)

Solve analytically. 3x^2 +4x -y= 7 2x -y = -1Solution3x^2 +4x -y= 7 ---(1) 2x -y = -1 ----(2) y = 2x+1 Substitute value of in equation 1) 3x^2 + 4x -(2x+1) = 7
