The coefficient discharge for pitot tube experiment was 0083
Solution
coefficient of discharge for pitot tube usuallylies between 0.95 to 0.98. its value usually lies below 1.
0.083 is not acceptable as it is too low which is less than 0.1
coefficient of discharge is the ratio of actual discharge to therotical discharge
generally theoretical discharge value will be more than the actual discharge
as the actual discharge values will vary as it depends on the head losses and frictional losses
therefore coefficent of discharge value ill depends upon the state of system
the difference in pressure at inlet and outlet will also effect cd values.
current meter is immersed in the flow of water so that it will give the readings in the form of pulses.which is more accurate.
we can also insert propeller for more accurate values of pressure readings by pitot tube
