I have a genetic solution which I take a sample from it 10 times. For each of these 10 samples, I have a chromosome that has the exact same 16 loci on it. In each loci, there are two distinct independent alleles that are not found on any of the other loci in the chromosome. Now let\'s say we have an electrical test that rates electrical activity on a scale from 1 to 10, and each allele has a certain electrical activity amount on that scale from 1 to 10 which determines which allele it is. (For example, if the reading on the electrical test is above but near the value of 4, we have a 99% confidence level that the allele is allele B, and the electrical test value of 4 is called the base limit). We then take each individual allele from each loci and put it through the electrical test repeating this 10 times for each allele. What would be the degrees of freedom in order to find base limits for the alleles?
