Total quality Management is people focused management system.TQM aims at continual increase in customer satisfaction at continually lower cost.It works horizontally across all the departments and involves all employees.There are various principles that guide the TQM philosphy.Some princilples of TQM are as follows:

1. Focusing on customers

2. Preventing rather than detecting defects.

3. Continous improvement and training.

In my opinion currently health care industry is struggling to retain excellent staff which is a major challenge for Human resource manager.This is due many reasons for example :

1 Lack of training

2 Career Advancement

3 Overworked staff
