In your opinion, do artists need to make sketches and studies in order to produce a finished work of art?

It is true that the artist need to make sketches and studies in order to produce a finished work of art. It helps them to understand the outcome to be produced. There can be changes made to the ouput once there is a clear understanding about the product scribbed on anything like paper or white board. The detail study of the finished work and the sketches made for the same helps to form different illusions of art with a valid meaning to it.

The sketches or studies help artists produce a \"better\" work of art. The reason is that the flaws and errors are rectified. There is more detail work on the art which could be added. There can be several changes made once the work is finalised. The use of information on the artwork would give a better work.
