Design a DC Power Supply

Design a regulated power supply circuit providing 12V DC output. Use a bridge rectifier and a Zener diode.
1) Determine the load current
2) Design the power supply for a 10% load regulation
3) Perform MultiSIM analysis

Solution

Bridge rectifier will give a constant dc current to the load.The desired output voltage is 12 V so from the below equation we can design the I rms and voltage.
