If an object’s acceleration is a positive constant, then the object can never have a negative velocity.

Solution

False

Consider an object at an height of say 20 m from earth\'s surface. So the downward direction is considered positive here since acceleration is taken positive in downward direction ie the acceleration due to gravity.

Now we throw the ball up vertically with a speed of 20 m/s but this is directed upward which is the negative direction and hence negative velocity but the acceleration due to gravity slows it down and eventually it falls to the earth with a positive speed
