g-1(-8)

The value of x is 8 when y=-8

Therefore g-1(-8) = 8

h(x)=3x + 8

Let y=h(x)

y= 3x+8

To find the inverse we have to switch x and y and solve for y

x= 3y+8

x-8=3y

Y= (x-8)/3

Therefore

h-1(x)= (x-8)/3

(hoh-1)(-4)

h-1(-4)= (-4-8)/3 = -4

Therefore (hoh-1)(-4) =h(h-1(-4)) = h(-4) = 3(-4) +8 =-4
