All answers are in the form of True/False with a explantion as to why:

1) The signal y(t)=e^(+j(5t+4)) is time shifted by 4 time units.

2) The Fourier Transform of x(t)=e^(+j5t) is real while the Fourier Transform of y(t)=e^(+j(5t+4)) is complex valued.

3) The Fourier Transform of x(t)=e^(+j5t) is not the same as the Fourier Transform of x(t)=e^(+5t)

^I know #3 is true, but I would like some help so I can double check my explanation.

Solution

1) true , e^(at+b) is where b implies additional shift in time

2) false both are complex valued

3) false, one is exponential and other is complex value

All answers are in the form of True/False with a explantion as to why: 1) The signal y(t)=e^(+j(5t+4)) is time shifted by 4 time units. 2) The Fourier Transform
