Solution

total current in circuit = 8mA

let us determine total resistabce of circuit

resistors 4.8k-Ohms and 3.2k-Ohms are in series .Their total resistnace = 4.8+3.2=8k-Ohms

This is in parallel to 8k-Ohms .Their totak resistnace = (8*8)/(8+8)=4 k-Ohms

this is series with 4k-Ohms

Therefore,totak resistance of circuit = 4+4=8k-Ohms

Total current in circuit = 8mA

therefore, battery voltage = 8*10-3*8*103=64 Volts

current I2 = 8/2=4 mA because the current 8 mA will get equally distributed to branch of 8 k-Ohms and brance of 4.8 and 3.2 k-Ohms resitors since the two branches have equal resistance

Therefore, I2 = 4mA
