Doughnuts becoming enzymes: The chaperonin serve to catalyse the protein folding. These are the heat shock proteins which have 14 subunits that are arranged in rings of two stackes; this gives a double daughnut appearance and form a cylinder. The central cavity of the cylinder serves as site for protein folding.
