Suppose Pab is the statement a2bab where a and b are integer

Suppose P(a,b) is the statement a+2b=ab, where a and b are integers.

What are the truth values of:

Solution

Suppose P(a,b) is the statement a+2b=ab, where a and b are integers

1) Truth value of statement is 1

becuase of for every a say a\'

a\' + 2b = a\'b

=> b = a\'/(a\'-2)

we will get b for every a

2) Truth value of this statement is also 1

because P(3,b) = 2+2b = 3b

=> b = 2

we will get b = 2
