1 Refer to Figure 2 below what is the possible problem if VB

1) Refer to Figure 2 below, what is the possible problem if VB is equal to 0 V and VC is equal to 15 V?

a) transistor is shorted

b) RB is open

c) VCC is 0 V

d) transistor is blown open

2) Refer to Figure 2, what is the possible problem if VB is equal to 15 V and VC is equal to 15 V?

a) transistor is blown open

b) VBB is 0 V

c) transistor is shorted

d) VCC is 0 V

a) transistor is shorted

b) RB is open

c) VCC is 0 V

d) transistor is blown open

Solution

1.Rb open. Then there is no base signal. the transistor remains off

Hence there is no collector current so Vc=Vcc=15 volts,

And Ib=0,Rb is open so Vb=0Volts.

2. Transistor is blown open.I.e.Ib=Ic=0 amps

therefore,Vb=Vc=15volts

1) Refer to Figure 2 below, what is the possible problem if VB is equal to 0 V and VC is equal to 15 V? a) transistor is shorted b) RB is open c) VCC is 0 V d)
