In triangle ABC m A, m B, Let sin A= 0.454 and cos A= 0.891 What is sin B- cosB? Triangle is right triangle where angle C=90 degrees

Solution

In triangle ABC.We have given sin A= 0.454=454/1000 , cos A= 0.891=891/1000

In triangle ABC where Triangle is right triangle where angle C=90 degrees

since we know sin A=opposite side/hypotenuse and cos A=adjacent side/hypotenuse

sin A=(BC/AB)=454/1000 ,cos A=(AC/AB)=891/1000

From the above we know that AB=1000, BC=454, AC=891

sin B=AC/AB =891/1000

cos B=BC/AB =454/1000

Therefore sin B- cosB =(891-454)/1000 =437/1000 =0.437
