your client says that she has been taking antidepressants for 3 weeks and has not noted a difference, what do you tell her

Solution

The common antidepressants do not start working until after 6-8 weeks of medication. Only some people may be able to feel a difference within 2-3 weeks of taking the antidepressants, therefore I will advise the client to wait for another 2- 3 weeks and even then if she is not able to feel better, then I would suggest to her alternate methods of therapies to relieve depression.
