Lets assume she adds x litres of 14% acid solution to make 10% solution

So, already she has 8 litres of 6% acid solution ---- 0.06*8 = 0.48 litres

Acid from14% acid solution = 0.14*x = 0.14x

So, Total solution = 8 +x litres

% acid = (0.14x +0.48)/8+x)

Given: (0.14x +0.48)/8+x) = 0.1 ( 10%)

0.14x +0.48 = 0.8 +0.1x

0.04x = 0.32

x = 8 litres

She would add 8 lites of 14% acid solution ta make 10% acid solution
