Protsists can be animal (like protozoans) and plant (algae). Those organisms are eukaryotes. Therefore, protists evolved from bacteria. While in compare a relationship with us; the human, we made of cells, we are one of multicellular organism. Our cells also evolved from bacteria because bacteria turned into protists and then protists evolved in multicellular organisms.
