A bill, recently introduced into Missouri House of Representatives, states that: \"The lack of significant present-day observable changed in species due to random variation, mutation, natural selection, adaptation, segregation, or other naturalistic mechanisms implies intelligence as the cause for all original species.\"

Give three examples with details about the nature of the change, and its causes, that contradict this statement.

Solution

\"The lack of significant present-day observable changes in species due to random variation, mutation, natural selection, adaptation, segregation, or other naturalistic mechanisms implies intelligence as the cause for all original species.\"

The species what we are observing is all due to some sort of changes that occurs in the original species. Survival of the fittest fits in this very well. If both the characters are well adapted, both species grows, if not one will remain other will extinct.

Example 1: adaptation mechanism - Ex: Giraffe

This animal made its adaptation to feed top level leaves, if it doesnot make its neck to adapt to this sort of change, there occurs competition for food among goats and some other, so there is every chance of its extinction. So this is the best example for adaptation. This adaptation helped them for escaping from enemies and also they can identify other giraffes which are at distance.

Example 2- Natural Selection - ex: Giraffe

This animal made some adaptations for its food. Taller neck gets more food than the shorter necked animals. Because competition is only between those species. Slowly shorter necked giraffes got replaced in our present day population with long necked giraffe population.

Example 3 Mutation- Ex; Peacock

Mutation always creates new species or different from parental species. Albino peafowl and cock are the example, loss of pigmentation is due to mutation. Both normal and albinic species are found in nature.
