The screenshot shown below is from the Windows Task Manager. The Performance tab shows how active (or busy) the CPU is. Notice that under the heading CPU Usage History, there are four separate charts. Explain why there are four charts. Now bring up the Task Manager on your computer. How many charts appear?

Each chart is for one processor core.. If 4 charts are displayed in Task manager performance tab, that means yours is Quad core processor.. If your chip is Intel with Hyperthreading, then you will be dislayed 8 charts for a quad core processor..One for each processor core and another for hyperthreading..
