An item of plant requires 2 m3 min–1 of pulsation-free and oil-free compressed air supplied at a pressure of 7 bar. Select and size a suitable type of machine with regard to output FAD (free air delivered) and quality of air supply.

It is capable of delivering more than 3m^3 of air per minute ,at a 50% higher pressure, say 10 bar, to allow you to store backup air,
we need a reciever that will have the compressor start every, say, five minutes, ie, 10m^3
we need a pressure reducing valve which will deliver 2m³/min @ 7 bar
we also need a pressure switch which will start/stop the compressor between, say 8 and 10 bar.
