a.  The citric acid cycle takes place within the matrix of mitochondria in case of eukaryotes and incase of prokaryote, it takes place in cytosol.

b. Each Acetyl CoA molecule releases two CO2 molecules.

So, 2 Acetyl CoA molecule will release 4 CO2 molecules, and 8 Acetyl CoA molecule will release 16 CO2 molecules.

Each Acetyl CoA molecule releases 3 NADH molecules.

Therefore, 2  Acetyl CoA molecule will release 6 NADH molecules. 8 Acetyl CoA molecule will release 24 NADH molecules.

Each Acetyl CoA molecule releases 1 FADH2 molecules.

Therefore, 2  Acetyl CoA molecule will release 2 FADH2 molecules, and 8 Acetyl CoA molecule will release 16 FADH2 molecules.
