A common source amplifier with source degeneration resistanc
A common source amplifier with source degeneration resistance is shown below. Neglect ro. With the source degeneration resistance Rs=0 (Redraw the circuit if you wished with Rs removed) determine the overall gain of the amplifier. If input voltage is 0.4V peak to peak determine the voltage at the drain. Will the signal at the output be unclipped? It is desired to limit the gain of the amplifier to one third of its present value. Choose the source degeneration resistance for this purpose.
Solution
Rv= 0.4
