The Galapagos marine iguana lives in coastal areas of the Galapagos Islands. These lizards feed on algae growth in the intertidal and near-shore marine areas, and bask in the sun between feeding bouts in order to maintain the energy needed for foraging trips.
Male lizards choose and defend small territories of the rocky shore. The “quality” of the territories varies, and females choose mates based on the quality of their territories.

Solution
Galapagos island Iguana\'s are habituated and adaptive, as we know about the Darwin\'s evolutionary theory also the survival of the fittest concept. Sexual Dimorphism is when we the differences in appearance between the Males and females of the same species. Generally we see it as the differences in colour, shape, size and structure and all of these comes from the inheritance of genetic material or sexual pattern.
The adaptive nature of he iguana lizard is thus so far seen as females choose their males according their terrotories and here the sexual dimorphism plays an important part. So Males become more adaptive to built their terretories and become more strong physically to attract their partners . In a way that directly provokes them to get a larger body size.
