Assume the two systems have datapaths run the same program with the hardware and software characteristics above. Give the performance of each and circle the one with the higher performance. Base only on the information in the above table, which processor would you surmise is more power efficient? Explain.

so, T for core i7 = 2 * 10^9 X 3 X 1/3 * 10^-9 = 2

T for Itanium = 10^9 X 5 X 10^-9 = 5

Performance of core i7 = 1/ T = 1/2

Performance of itanium = 1/T = 1/5

Hence, it is clear core i7 has higher perormance than itanium.
