a) distance traveled by the object between times t=1 and t=5 seconds = 1 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 4 = 17 m

b) acceleration at initial time (t=0) = no change in the rate of velocity = 0 acceleration

c) u = ds/dt = 4, at t=6 and v = ds/dt = 3, at t=7 seconds

then a = dv/dt = (v - u)/t = (3 - 4)/(7 - 6) = -1 m2/s
