A) Summary of episode:

This video is presented by Richard Jackson, who is talking about designing of healthy communities. The current health issues such as asthma and obesity which children have to face are results of unhealthy community. The video has many subparts such as presentations by Elgin High School students sharing their ideas about healthy communities, example of Onatoga lake, views of/about asthmatic patients. We should understand that we should protect our environment, so as to live in a healthy place. Our future generations will be unhealthy if we left a polluted, low quality surrounding for them.

B) The information given is valid and easy to understand.

C) The episode gives information about public health problems such as asthma and obesity. Asthma is a result of air pollution caused by industrialization, vehicles etc.Our diseases are mirror image of how unhealthy our community is. We should take measures in order to improve the quality. Obviously this video describes common hazards and affliction affecting modern American and American communities. These problems are worldwide issues.

D) The communities should be build in such a way that the residential area should be near workplace (Example of Elgin Factory). So that time and energy can be saved to do various other activies which can be lost in day to day travelling. Another thing is that pointed by people of St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse, is that there has to be cross walk so that people who are wheelchair can feel free to walk on the road. Also gym is a necessary which every community should have that to near residential area so that people can be motivated to exercise. Communities should be build near clean source of water and should be such that people get motivated for walk.
