Let voltages of eac battery be v1 , v2

v1 +v2 = 18 ----(1)

v1 =2v2 -6 ------(2)

v1 -2v2 = -6

from (1) and (2):

3v2 = 24 ---->

v2 = 8 volts

v1 = 10 volts
