1). Naturalistic observation

Observation without intervention (or naturalistic observation): In this method, the behaviour of the subject is studied in a natural environment, means, no laboratory interference. In the given example, Tina is observing the results, but not interfering with it.

By this method, the researchers can describe the behaviour of the subject, but cannot explain the behaviour. Because no casual statements can be made by this method regarding the situations they observe. This is because, it goes naturally and it can change over time.
