The reaction A rightarrow B is catalyzed by the enzyme E1 I

The reaction A rightarrow B is catalyzed by the enzyme E1. I start with 1M A and measure the amount of B produced at different time points, either in the presence (solid line) or absence (dashed line) of \"X\". My data is shown in the graph. Based on this, what can you conclude about the effect of X on El\'s K_m and V_max? Explain.

Solution

What we see from the graph, it is not a michaelis menton graph and therefore we cannot conclude anything regarding the kinetic parameters of the reaction. As from the graph, we see that the reaction progress at one substarte concentration and as per michelis menton graph,we plot the initial reaction rates against different substrate concentrations.
