Given the option to work for a company in a particular market, would you choose to work for a Western Multi-National Enterprise (MNE) such as IBM, moving into a developing country such as India, or would you choose to work for a company from an emerging economy or moving into a Western market such as France?

Solution

In an economical forefront, I would definitely choose to work for a company from emerging economy which might be moving into France as the salary would be paid in the respective currency. But on other hand, a company like IBM which has already proved its mettle in the IT industry, will be having a clear plan and strategy to work out.

In a populous country like India, there will be more opportunities and challenges. When a new set-up is created in a completely new country, it will also invite trouble and attract challenges. It will stand as a good platform for us to learn the intricacies of the start up. It is always advisable to choose the company from a developed economy as they will be financially more sound. They will also be having clear procedures and policies which will ease the process of a new branch. Hence having all these thoughts I will finalize my employment with Western Multi-National Enterprise that might be moving into a developing country.
