There exists no such correlation between  DNA content of the haploid genome with that of morphological complexity across all organisms.This is known as C value paradox.The minimum genome size in prokaryotes and eukaryotes is correlated to the increasing complexity of the organisms.Correlation exists between the genome size and its complexity among the various taxanomic groups.In each taxon,relationship between minimum genome size and quantitative traits such as cell volume, cell size,nulcear size ,regeneration time, cell cycle time have been established and this is known as C-value enigma.
