Influenza virus- 1. Normally 4 types are found- A,B,C,D. A, B are responsible for seasonal epidemics.

2. they are classified based on two antigens Heamagglutinin or H , Neuraminidase or N antigen.

3. they readily undergo antigeni SHIFT and DRIFT to yield new strains.

4. they cause heamagglutination of RBCs.

5.H1N1, H3N2 of influenza A, One or two B Virus are used to prepare influenza vaccine every year.

DOGTAPWORM- Echinococcus granulosus is called the dog tapeworm. it is 3-6 mm in lenght. dog is the primary host and livestocks and humans are intermediate hosts. it causes the disease echinococcosis. it parasitized in small intestine of adult canids like dog.

Phytophthora infestans- it is a oomycetes. it causes the Late Blight disease in potato.the spots are first grey ,green and water soaked which then become enlarge dark brown with rough surface. it was cause of 1945 irish potato blight.

Plasmodium vivax- it auses BENIGN TERSIAN malaria. it is a protozoal parasite of human. the vector for the disease is female anopheles mosquito. it mainly found in America. it cause red cell destruction and clump up in vessel, splenomegaly is common.
