y0 xa NOTE this is ONE piecewise function I just was unsure

y={0, x<a and y={1/16(x^2-a^2), x>a NOTE: this is ONE piecewise function, I just was unsure on how to format it so it would look correct.

Solution

the function is 0 before a and then after a it is 1/16(x^2-a^2) lim x->a- f(x)=0 lim x->a+ f(x)=1/16(a^2-a^2)=0 Since both LHS and RHS are equal and is zero at a, solution exists everywhere.
y={0, x<a and y={1/16(x^2-a^2), x>a NOTE: this is ONE piecewise function, I just was unsure on how to format it so it would look correct.Solution the func
