the worker shown below is using 10 lb pneumatic nut runner to tighten nuts within a tractor cab compartment . what health an safety problems are likely to result from her job ? evaluate the job and the workstation , identifying booth good and bad work design features . if good indicate the princples of work design that justify its use ; if bad redesign the feature using a princple of work design to justify the change . be as through as possible coming up with as many deisgn features as possible

Solution

By observations of the sketch, i can see that she is not using head safety and eye safety. So she may get injuries in head or she can face eye problem by doing work like this. So this work station is not safe for working. To work with mechanical devices safety precautions should be followed by every worker like eye glasses, helmets, gloves etc.she may face problems of breathing in future if she would not use mask and all safety precautions.

One more thing i observed is that she is working at higher place then her hieght, this is not preferred in design. She is also bearing load of 10lb. Which is not easy to support. So one should work at equal hieght when he or she carry ing load.
