In these two problems, how am I suppose to figure whether the function is even or odd? In the first one what exactly am I doing? f(g(x)) would it be even(odd(x))? If so what does that mean?

Solution

in H(x) as the what ever the value of y= g(x), f(y) will always a even fn hence, h(x)is even in I(x) is sum of even and odd i(-x) = f(x) -g(x) which is neither even nor odd
