do the capacitors negative go to the negative part of the circuit or to the positive ?

Solution

There is no negative and positive to the capacitor,it is only how the capacitor is getting either charged or discharged.

The terminal of the capacitor to which the current is entering is taken as positive and other terminal is taken as negative,opposite polarity goes with the dielectric inside it which actually stores the charge.

However for the above circuit capacitor negative goes to the nehative part of the circuit only.
