Population mean is Mean on the entire population data. Sample man is mean on the sample data.
If population follows normal distribution and drawn sample with large size from that populatin then the sample mean is very closed(nearly or same) to poulation mean.
If population follows non normal distribution and drawn sample with small size from that populatin then the sample mean is vary from poulation mean.
The difference between sample mean and population mean is called sampling error.
As sample size increases the sampling error decreases and vice-versa.
