does the whitetail deer disease, such as chronic wasting disease and Hemorrhagic disease have an affect on genetic material (DNA, RNA, nucleotide sequences)?

Chronic wasting disease was belived as a prion disease by many experts. Prion is a mutated protein. It causes mutation in other normal proteins disrupting their normal function.

Hemorrhagic disease is due to Vitamin K deficeincy. Most commonly seen in infants. It doesnot have any effect on genetic material. As Vitamin K is needed for blood coagulation, hemorrhagic disease patients have coagulation disturbernces. They have excessive bleeding when cut leading to hemorrhage.
