Consider the circuit shown to your right.
Assuming the constant voltage drop (CVD) model(Von =0.6V if \'ON\' and 0A if \'OFF\'), generate a plotof voltage transfer function ( the output voltage Voversus the input voltage Vi ). Suppose the inputvoltage Vi  varies from -2V to 2V. Make a plot andexplain why. Label all critical points and slopes oflines on your plot.

Solution

when input voltage is +2v diode d1 is forward bised

voltage across the short circuit is 0.

transfer function is is 0.

when input voltage is -2v diode d2 is forward biased.

output voltage is V0=I*40=40*2/60

V0 =4/3v

transfer function  V0 / Vi =-2/3
