Let us assume the significnace level 0.05.

Since p-value(0.025) of correlation test is less than 0.05 so it shows that there is a correlation between the variables fires and acres burned.

Correlation coefficient is 0.771, so it relationship between the variables is positive and moderate. That is as the number of forest fires increases, acres birned also increases. Regression equation tells that as the number of fires increase by 1, number of acres burned increase by 1.036.
