What do you think are the cost factors to consider when implementing a lean process improvement?

creating and offering more and ultimate value to the customer is the objecitve of lean. and organisations are spending billions of money for this, some times they are succeeding and some times not. lean is a continuous process where at every stage of the product it has to gone through different studies and at the end offer the most quality product to the customer.

the factors we consider while implementing this is; the cost of new technology, implementing cost, maintanance cost and do the people require any training to perform this or not. and we calculate over all costs and also considers the overall benefits which we are going to be get in future.

without considering costs and revenues we can not implement the process. the reason is not only for measuring profits, that is we should know the difference in sales and revenue one we implemented the process.
