Let the number of general admission ticket purchased be x and upper reserved tickets be y

given

x + y = 346 ---------------(1)

6.5x + 8y = 2664.5 --------------(2)

multiply (1) by 8 and subtracting from (2)

8x + 8y = 2768

6.5x + 8y = 2664.5

1.5 y = 103.5

y = 69

x = 346 - 69 = 277
