Jerry\'s Garden Center buys 40% of their plants from Growing Green Nursery and the rest ( 60 %)of their plants from Herb\'s Herbs. 20 % of the plants procured from Growing Green Must be returned and 10% of the plants procured from Herb\'s Herbs must be returned. Let the total number of plants procured by the Jerr\'s Garden be x. Then the number of plants bought by the Jerry\'s garden from Growing Green Nursery is 0.4x . Also, the number of plants reurned to Growing Green Nursery is 20 % of 0.4x = 0.08x. Then Similarly, the number of plants bought by the Jerry\'s garden from Herb\'s Herbs is 0.6x. Also, the number of plants reurned to Herb\'s Herbs is 10 % of 0.6x = 0.06x. Now, the probability that a randomly selected plant comes from Growing Greens Nursery and must be returned is 0.08x/ x = 0.08.  The total number of plants returned is 0.08x + 0.06x = 0.14x.
