Find the equation for a line which passes through the points (9, –3) and (7, 5). Write the

equation in slope-intercept form. Show work.

Equation of line is

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

Where m = slope = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) = (5 + 3)/(7 - 9) = 8/-2 = -4

Then y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y + 3 = -4(x - 9)

y + 3 = -4x + 36

y = -4x + 33

Slope = -4

Intercept = 33
